Preserving Tasmanian Car Racing History and Memories

This  website is for Members of the Historic Racing Car Club of Tasmania Inc. and  others who are interested in the collection, preservation, use and racing of  historic racing cars.


Our club is about preserving old photographs, visiting old and current racing venues in the state and seeking out old historic racing cars. Some of the tracks visited from time to time are Longford, Quorn Hall, Valleyfield and other old racing and hillclimb venues.

Monthly Committee Meetings

Our monthly committee meetings occur usually on the first Thursday evening 7pm at the "Civic Club" 134 Davey Street Hobart. Our next meeting is November. Come along as an intersted observer and enjoy the social side of the club at the venue.

Upcoming Events

  Our next Annual General Meeting will be held at the the "Campbell Town Hotel" Campbelltown (centrally located for Southern and North/Northwestern members as well as other interested participants). This is the same day as our "old track" visits to Valleyfield and Quorn Hall circuits/airfields . Come along and enjoy the country ride,some fine food, drinks and social interaction, on 25 November 2018 – AGM midday.

Old Track Visit

Quorn Hall (Campbell Town) and Valleyfield (Epping Forest) Airfield/Raceways

Visiting the old World War 2 Airfields, later used for the Tasmanian Racing Car and Motorcycle Grand Prix races. Circuits predated Longford and later race venues. Visits 25 November, same day as the Annual General Meeting (Campbell Town Hotel - midday). Timings  - meet at the Epping Forest Roadhouse 10am for Valleyfield. Followed by AGM. Later at 2pm,  meeting at the Lake Leake Road turn off Campbell Town  for Quorn Hall. Both properties are now private farms and all care and directions must be taken by club and other visitors attending.
